Jock Mackay Cup tie postponed

TODAY'S Jock Mackay cup quarter final match against Alness United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Links.

The St Duthus committee did their best on the day to treat the pitch in its most sodden areas, however, despite both teams and sets of players wishing for the game to go ahead, the appointed referee Gordon Seago ultimately took the decision to postpone the match due to the excessive and continuing rainfall and and in the interests of player safety.

Our thanks go to willing volunteers Craig Keys, Robert Chatten, John Grant, Ian Ross, Jason and Zef Ubych who gave up their time to help the club prepare and with pitch repair. Thank you also to the Royal Hotel who helped the committee and volunteers warm up with a sumptuous serving of soup and sandwiches.
