The form guide can occasionally go out of the window when it comes to games between St. Duthus and Bunillidh Thistle. St. Duthus currently possess the bragging rights though, having won the Jock Mackay Cup opener played between the sides back in August - and they did so with a confident and comfortable 4-1 win. Taking into account their recent performances, Stuart Ross is rightfully hopeful that his St. Duthus side will have enough to secure another victory - this time on league duty.

For the Helmsdale club, there is no hiding the fact that Dean Cowie's charges have had a winless start to the season. They have, in fact, lost every game they have played thus far, most recently being dumped 7-0 at home to Sutherland rivals Golspie.

As stated above though, form can often mean nothing in this game - and Stuart Ross and his squad will need no reminding of that, as they will be able to easily cast their minds back to the first league meeting with Bunillidh last season, which ended in a catastrophic 6-4 win for the Helmsdale side at Couper Park to end Thistle's winless start to the 2018-19 campaign. Saints must ensure that such a result doesn't happen again.

Manager Stuart Ross:

Personnel wise, Ross Tokely is set to make his return having last featured in Saints' league encounter away to Inverness last month. Cammy Mackintosh and Will Ross are also expected to be available once again, while Reece Paterson and Ben Bruce drop out due to other commitments.

The game kicks off at 2pm at Grant Park, down by the Links. Tea, coffee and hot food shall be on sale from half time.
