St. Duthus will open their defence of the Football Times Cup with an away trip at Bonar Bridge, as confirmed in last night's draw for the competition.
Saints are one of just five clubs in the whole of Scotland to have won a senior cup competition on the park during the calendar year of 2020, having defeated Golspie in the Football Times Cup Final at Dudgeon Park last January. After going 1-0 down, an inspired second half performance and goals from Ben Bruce and Liam Rostock turned the game around for Saints, who went on to lift the cup for the first time since 1982.
Eleven clubs have registered for this year's competition, with islanders Orkney opting not to enter. The cup is scheduled to be held following the conclusion of the remaining league fixtures in 2020-21.
If Saints can get past Bonar Bridge in the first round, an away visit to Nairn awaits them in the quarter finals, with a home tie in the semi-final if they reach that stage.
