Season to kick off with cup final repeat

St Duthus will get the 2022-23 season underway with a home game against Halkirk United in the Macleod and MacCallum North Caledonian League.

Thirteen teams will take part in what will be the largest compliment of teams the league has seen since 1995. Newcomers Fort William and Clachnacuddin reserves join the same 11 teams who competed last year.

The season begins on Saturday August 20th with a home league game against last season's North Caledonian Cup Final opponents Halkirk United, and a week later, Saints travel to meet Alness United on Football Times Cup business. It will be the first time Saints have played Alness on their opponents' new artificial surface park.

Another home game, against Nairn County reserves, and a trip to Lochaber will round off a difficult opening four games. It will be the first time St Duthus have travelled to Fort William on competitive league business since 1985, when the Claggan Park side last played in the North Caledonian League.
